I love insurance. I can't really explain it. I am deeply passionate about working with our clients to help them protect what they find valuable or important.
Buying insurance involves entering into a legal contract with an insurance company. When you pay your premiums, you expect certain claims to be covered. Insurance policies are complex and I enjoy working through policy language to help each client better understand their coverage. It is important to me that I understand what you want your insurance policy to do, not just what I think it should do.
I was born and raised in Plymouth, Minnesota, attended school in Wayzata and college at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Child Psychology, with a Certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling and Sign Language. My husband Chad and I live in Minnetrista, and enjoy seeing horses on our block and cows across the street.
We have four kids ages 2-12 that keep us young; Alex, Kyle, Anna and Kali. We are active in their activities; soccer, basketball, dance, gymnastics, scouting and church. I am a co-den leader with our Cub Scout Pack 297 and often volunteer for kids school functions, church events and Girl Scout activities. I also provide guardian and conservatorship care for my mother who is in a memory care facility. This experience has made me a strong advocate of Long Term Care Insurance solutions.
Senior Personal Lines Account Manager
I have been in the insurance industry since 2006. My career brought me to Minnesota Insurance Group in January of 2016. I am passionate about working on the independent side of the insurance industry. I feel I can truly help people by finding the exact insurance to meet their needs, and the education they need to understand their insurance. My favorite part of my job is helping people!
I am constantly challenged and strive to bring the most current and relevant insurance knowledge to each client. I am just beginning to earn my Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation, which further helps me be a better advisor, resource and advocate to our clients.
In my spare time, I love to read and spend time outdoors, however, my main focus outside of work is my family and friends. I live in Belle Plaine, MN with my husband Dylan, our son James, and our rescue dog Mick, a Lab and Springer mix.
Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager
Mary joined Minnesota Insurance Group in January of 2017 with experience in the industry since 2004. Her various roles have lead her to her Commercial Property & Casualty focus on Account Management and Customer Service since 2013.
Mary enjoys being an Account Manager because the role utilizes her strengths – claims, safety and risk management, marketing and quoting new and renewal policies, and other customer service responsibilities. Being as Mary is passionate about helping people, this role assures that every day is busy, challenging and fulfilling.
When not working, Mary enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, watching movies, riding motorcycle or going out on the lake. And she’s rarely anywhere without her toy poodle, Brody, who will greet you at the office if you come for a visit.
Pat is a well-seasoned, local gal. Born and raised in the Minneapolis Metro area, she has been in the industry for over forty years. She started as a Customer Service Rep and grew to love helping her clients. Eventually, Pat attained her license in order to best help her clients make the important decisions when purchasing insurance. Pat has been with Minnesota Insurance Group since 2002.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, golfing and traveling with her husband Dennis. Her two grown sons and grandson also live locally. Pat gives back to the community through her church by volunteering and teaching Sunday school. Her family has been active in the lives of another family from Nairobi, Kenya since 2003.
Michael joined the Minnesota Insurance Group team in January 2017 after first getting his feet wet in the insurance industry at a captive agency. Previously, Michael was in the Auto Collision and Repair Industry. His career began 22 years ago doing everything from driving tow-truck to managing an Auto Repair shop.
Michael enjoys the insurance industry because he loves to help people, to be readily available to answer questions promptly, and to work with customers as their needs change. He enjoys the complexity of insurance policy contracts and being able to translating it to a language that people without an insurance background can better understand.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys classic cars, motorcycling and being out on the water. He lives in Plymouth with his two sons - Bradley (age 23) and Aaron (age 15) and their Guinea Pig Baxter (age 2).
